Duststop Air Filters recognizes that there are times when a team member doesn’t know who to ask a question to or faces a situation or issue where he or she does not feel comfortable speaking to his or her direct supervisor. The purpose of the Fairness Committee is to provide a channel where any employee can share a problem, issue or suggestion. This is an opportunity to have his or her voice heard and/or seek a resolution. The Fairness Committee comprises of management and two (2) employee representatives who are elected by the employees in December of each year.
The types of items that are brought forward to the Fairness Committee are;
• Suggestions on how to improve production, equipment or work supplies
• Situations or procedures that seem to be unfair to a group of employees
• Ideas about how to enhance work or employee break areas
• Thoughts about how to support communication between all employees
